Very Rare 1st Class Relic St. Thomas Aquinas Mounted in a Monstrance Reliquary

Description

This is a rare first class holy relic of one of the most influential Catholic priests produced over the last thousand years. Saint Thomas Aquinas Doctor of the Church. St. Thomas, a member of the Dominican Order, is considered one of the Catholic Church's greatest theologians and philosophers. He is known in Catholic theology as the Doctor Angelicus or Angelic Doctor. What is offered here is an ex ossibus relic housed in an antique theca argenta which is hallmarked 800 (80%) silver and bears a mark for the province of Syracuse in Sicily where it was made by a silversmith in the service of the Archbishop of Syracuse. The theca itself is housed in a reliquary in the form of a monstrance that is adorned with 6 faceted garnets representing the blood of Christ. It stands 7" tall by 4" across. So aside from protecting the relic it makes an excellent and fitting display I am only selling the reliquary. The theca and its contents are included as a gift. If you cannot pick up locally I will ship to you at no additional cost. I have been packing things to survive the journey to you for over 20 years so you can rest assured I will pack this with great care. I will also including tracking.
