Operator and contact

BarterBin (barterbin.ca) is operated by Ring2revenue Technologies Inc in British Columbia, Canada. Contact support@ring2revenue.ca for support, privacy requests, reports and appeals. Mailing address: PO Box 1068, Barriere, BC V0E 1E0, Canada.

These terms govern your account and marketplace use. We ask you to affirmatively accept this version before posting or sending marketplace messages. Marketing consent is separate and optional. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.

Adult accounts and honest use

Account holders must be at least 19 years old. Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and use an account you are authorized to manage. Business representatives must have authority to act for the business. Do not evade restrictions, impersonate anyone or collect repeated one-time bonuses with duplicate accounts.

What BarterBin provides

BarterBin provides advertising and messaging tools. Buyers and sellers arrange their own price, payment, inspection, delivery and transfer. BarterBin is not a broker, escrow provider or payment processor for deals between members. We do not inspect every item or guarantee every ad's accuracy, a sale, a buyer, a price or a number of views. Inspect goods and use safe meeting and payment practices.

Free posting and bonuses

The free tier includes five active member ads per account. Marking an ad sold or removing it frees a slot. Imported partner inventory is managed separately. A one-time approved public social-sharing proof earns five more active-ad slots. The post must comply with the platform's rules and contain the member's BarterBin link or business-page tag. Opening a share dialog, clicking a referral link or an unverifiable private post is not proof. Approval requires review; correcting a mistaken bonus decision can change the allowance.

Eligible verified, unrestricted early-adopter accounts received three extra reusable active-ad slots. Their gift links let other eligible verified accounts claim three slots once per account and normalized email. Links expire 60 days after campaign activation, at the displayed deadline. Claimed slots remain while the account and service remain active, subject to moderation. An ordinary gifted account has eight slots, or thirteen with the separate approved sharing bonus. Multiple gift links cannot stack. Invitations must be welcome and lawful.

Paid posting allowances are total limits, not additions to free, gift or sharing slots. Your largest applicable allowance applies. The pricing and purchase-terms pages explain each optional offer before payment.

Prohibited offers and accurate listings

These rules cover member listings, rentals, services, jobs and partner imports. Only advertise offers you have the right to fulfil, with accurate price, condition, availability and location. Clearly identify remote services and where the provider operates.

Do not advertise controlled or illicit drugs, prescription medicines (including veterinary medicines), cannabis, THC or CBD products, cannabis accessories or services promoting their sale; alcohol, tobacco, nicotine or vaping products; firearms, ammunition, explosives or weapons. These categories are excluded even when a licensed seller could sell elsewhere. No regulated-drug or cannabis seller program is offered.

Do not advertise stolen or counterfeit goods, recalled or unsafe products, unlawful content, fraudulent or advance-fee schemes, pyramid schemes, forged documents, unauthorized scraped content, misleading locations, spam, sexually explicit services, exploitation, threats or harassment. Ordinary tools and kitchen utensils must be offered for lawful everyday use. Housing, employment and service ads must not unlawfully discriminate. Claimed legal exceptions require specific review. Messages, moderation and appeals

Use messages to discuss legitimate marketplace offers. Do not impersonate BarterBin support, demand passwords or verification codes, threaten account suspension, request identity documents through marketplace chat, or send unwanted commercial messages. Report and block suspicious senders.

Automated text screening and member reports identify concerns but do not establish illegality or guarantee detection. We may hold content, request corrections, remove it from public view or restrict accounts for policy violations, serious safety concerns or repeated abuse. Imports and edits are also screened. Administrators can restore mistakenly held eligible ads after review.

Owners can see held-ad reasons in Account and appeal to support@ring2revenue.ca with the ad link or ID and an explanation. Reporters' identities and private evidence are not displayed to the owner. Restrictions may take effect immediately to protect users or evidence. We aim to explain decisions where appropriate but cannot guarantee an immediate response. This is not an emergency response service.

Removal, account closure and records

You can mark an ad sold or remove it in Account. Removal hides the ad; it does not automatically erase conversations, moderation evidence, payment records or backups. Contact support for account closure or access, correction and deletion requests. We assess identity and any lawful need to retain limited records for abuse prevention, disputes or other obligations. Self-service account deletion and a universal automatic retention schedule are not currently offered.

Private blocked-email and moderation records may be retained to prevent repeat abuse. Accounts may be restricted or closed for violations, with the appeal path above. Restrictions do not remove mandatory consumer or privacy rights.

Your content and partner listings

You retain ownership of your content. You grant Ring2revenue Technologies Inc a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce and display it as needed to operate and promote your ad, including listing previews and marketplace social posts. Public display ends when the ad is removed, subject to third-party caches and limited records needed for security, disputes or legal obligations. We do not claim ownership of your photos.

Labelled partner listings may link to external retailers. Some links earn BarterBin an affiliate commission when a purchase occurs. The retailer's checkout, fulfilment, returns and purchase terms apply. Partner inventory is subject to BarterBin's listing rules.

Paid upgrades and voluntary support

Optional paid offers are described at /pricing, with purchase, renewal and refund terms at /purchase-terms. Review and expressly accept the applicable purchase terms before checkout. Stripe shows the final CAD total and applicable tax before payment. Seven-day boosts and one-time 20-slot or unlimited posting upgrades have no automatic renewal. The business seller subscription renews monthly until you cancel in Account > Billing. No sale or view count is guaranteed. Paid benefits remain subject to moderation. Existing ads and conversations are not automatically deleted when an allowance decreases. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Support BarterBin accepts voluntary one-time tips in CAD through Ring2Revenue's Stripe account. You choose the amount within Stripe's limits and review the final total at checkout. Support does not purchase ad placement, slots, a subscription or continued operation, and does not qualify for an official charitable tax receipt. The statement descriptor is RING2REVENUE. For a mistaken or duplicate payment, contact support with the date and receipt reference, without card details. Mandatory refund and consumer rights remain unaffected.

Availability and consumer rights

We may interrupt features for maintenance, security incidents or service changes. We make reasonable efforts to operate the service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Each party remains responsible as required by applicable law. These terms do not exclude or limit liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer protections.

Changes and applicable law

Published terms versions are retained. Material changes will have a new version and notice; affirmative acceptance is required before further posting or messaging under a newly required version. Continued browsing alone is not recorded acceptance. You may decline and contact support about closure, data requests or an existing dispute.

British Columbia law and applicable federal Canadian law govern these terms, subject to mandatory laws and consumer rights where you live. Nothing requires you to waive a court, tribunal, complaint process or remedy available under mandatory law.
